How do I optimize foobar2000 for a choppy stream? Thanks!

Hi - I listen to a favorite internal radio station in another country via PureVPN.  When I was using VLC it would periodically drop out and take time to re-buffer.  I recently switched to foobar2000.  It's a much better experience.  Dropouts are just as frequent (one every several minutes) but the recovery time is only a second or so.  Still, it seems like it should be possible to buffer enough to avoid this.  What are the optimal settings for FooBar2000 to optimize for a choppy stream?

Thanks!
/j

Go into Prefs/Advanced/playback/buffering and adjust the value in "Read ahead for remote files".  Mine is set at 1024 kB.

So it turned out PureVPN does not officially support streaming!!!
Switched to TunnelBear - FooBar2000 is 100% ROCK SOLID for DAYS!  AWESOME PLAYER.  Where can I donate?
