Small bug report:
Image auto-cycle stops working after opening and closing another Biography panel using "foo_flowin" component.

Biography v1.4.2
Spider Monkey Panel v1.6.1
foobar2000 v2.24 32-Bit
Flowin v0.2.2

The same thing happens in foobar 64bit using the jsplitter popup panels. So, maybe closing one Biography panel breaks the auto-cycle timer in all other biography panels somehow?

Not really a "bug" but the way it works. If you open a panel via popups, then it's the last panel loaded. When there are multiple panels, only the last one is the "server", but if you have only 2, then removing the last one effectively disables any server usage and resets all timers.

Bio was not meant to be used that way.

Now... it can be fixed, or at least a change I made seems to fix it. I certainly will not bother delving deeper into bio internals.

When using the JSP3 plugin Last.fm bio +images,  the image can be temporarily viewed in its full size as-downloaded by double-clcking the image;  I can't find an option to do this in the WilB biography image panel--am I missing something??
Currently it opens an explorer panel with the file selected; I may change it to directly open the photo with the default viewer set by OS. Without a SMP update, it is not possible to use the builtin foobar art viewer. I will also add double click support if the panel toogle is disabled for such shortcut and the mouse is over the image.

fb2k 2.25 has changed the behaviour of FbMetadbHandle RawPath IF you have a portable install AND your music resides on the same drive as that portable install. Any script that does something like startsWith("file://") will fail because RawPath will now start with "file-relative://".

I've compiled an update that works around this.

I think in this case the scripts should be updated instead of touching the handle property at component level, because otherwise scripts will not work with other versions of the component (and being honest here, people are just using whatever it works for them), resulting in a mess. Fixes at script level are easy enough and anyway if new file protocols are the norm in future versions, then scripts should adjust to it. Otherwise we are loosing the possibility to make use of the new protocol for something else.

I have revised all my scripts and it was 10 mins to support both protocols. Library tree and Biography has only 4 places to edit. I can take care of those.

Anyway thanks for the warning.

And finally possible to compile it without dark magic xd thank you so much

@LUR

Feature request.

At the moment transparency for a panel can only be set by rightclicking the caption of that panel and is not shown in the overall panel options.
This means you can only set transparency for a panel by first enabling the caption for a panel in panel options and then have to rightclick the caption of that panel, set transparency and then hide the caption again.

Can pseudo transparency also be added to the overall panel options grid?

Transparency

Got it.

Yes, Transparency is working with ESlyrics 1.0.3.1 running in JSplitter 3.6.1.14.

Very strange that in JSplitter the 'Support pseudo transparency option' is only available in the Caption and not in the Panel List, which means you first have to enable the caption before setting the particular panel to transparent and then disable the caption again.
But that is a question for the JSplitter thread.

ESLyric v1.0.2.2
https://github.com/ESLyric/release/releases/tag/1.0.2.2
Happy to test for you when a next version is supposed to restore transparency from a JSplitter parent.
Check the 'Support pesudo transparency' option in the JSplitter context menu.
In my normal skin that uses ESlyric from PSS everything is fine.

Then I loaded the portable I used before with the lovely pink background, updated that version to fooBar 2.24.5 and updated ESlyric to 1.0.3.1.
Everything works fine from PSS. No transparency though in the JSplitter.

You mention  'Support pesudo transparency' option in the JSplitter context menu .
I have no clue what you mean. JSplitter does not have this context menu. It does have a COnfigure Panel - Appearance - Use pseudo transparency tickbox which of course was already enabled. Also in ESlyric pseudo transparency is/was enabled.

Am I missing something?

I attached the updated portable with some screenshots.

[Thanks! Any opinion on noise shaping?
Some years back i played around with noise shaping and found the shibata shapes indeed sounding very pleasant to my ears when amplified. There must be some samples in the upload section.
I checked many years on many recordings if it is worth to apply but all the music i seem to listen never needs full 16 bits leave alone needing it noise shaped.
For the sake of doing at least something to lower the possibility of perceived noise i now use the sloped dither inside SoX with dither -S -a.
