Copy Settings to Portable Foobar

Question: How to copy configuration to portable Foobar?

I have a updated copy of Foobar 2000 v. 1.1.13 on my hard drive and want to
copy the settings to a portable copy on my USB Pendrive.
Love this thing...better than Winamp, as I can set it up as I need, read and use as I want.

Thanks, Donald

with your main foobar install open, hold down the shift key and then click on the file menu and then select browse configuration folder. now close foobar.

with this explorer window open, copy the entire contents into the same directory as your portable foobar install.

Thanks, it works. How can I add my components as well? I went to C:\Program Files\foobar2000 and copy the "components" folder in my portable foobar folder, overwriting the old components folder. But I get an error message that one or more components have been damaged, and foobar won't start. Any ideas?

perhaps you mixed up differing core components to the version of foobar you're using. re-installing using the latest version would probably fix that.

also, you really should use the user-components folder for your own components. this gets created when you install components through the main preferences.
