Decoding: LAME ACM or Fhg

I'm using Windows XP SP1 and it includes an old Fraunhofer MP3 codec. Since it's an old version, it may have decoding bugs. Should I continue to use it to watch my DivX videos using BSPlayer, or should I get LAME ACM codec like version 3.90.2?

I really doubt you would have any noticeable problems using the FhG decoder (I have been using it all along and I've never noticed anything weird). However, unless you have a good reason not to download the LAME ACM codec, I don't think it would hurt to have something better instead.

I've done some research and it seems the decoding in the LAME ACM codec is still buggy. Am I right or should I trust the LAME ACM codec decoding over the existent Fhg?

Thanx.
