Pause causes repeating sound in WASAPI mode

Hi,

I'm not sure if it is a known issue, but since the WASAPI plugin is not updated for a while, I guess somebody else here might be able to help me.
Right now I'm using foo_touchremote to control foobar2000 which works fine except that it only supports PAUSE. When I'm in WASAPI exclusive mode, the pause doesn't mute the sound, but keep playing some wired repeating noise. I'd like to ask if there is a way to configure foobar2000 or foo_touchremote so that a PAUSE is treated the same as STOP? Or any solution that can fix the issue with WASAPI plugin?

Thank you very much in advance!

Are you using HDMI? Cause I have the same problem with HDMI, both ATI and Nvidia.

Hi Andy,

Yes, I use ATI HD5770 and HDMI to AVR.
It is something caused by the WASAPI plugin I assume, I tried mediamonkey 4 WASAPI output (event-based) which doesn't give me the same issue.

BTW, are you andy o in avsforum.com? We had some discussion on pixel format and output luma range long time ago if you remember :-)

yeah that's me. I come here for sane discussion on audio hehe. Over there there's no TOS8. I use MPC-HC with WASAPI mode and there's no pause problem there either.
