behringer hpm1000 or sony mdr-v150 or panasonic RP-HT357 ?

Ok , I live in argentina , here all the headphones you talk about at the forum are VERY expensive! (sennheiser hd-202 are US$60!!)
I will usem them for listening music on the pc, cos the music annoys my familly so I use headphone allways. (I don't even use speakers! :s)
i will spend a maximum of 30 dollars.
The headphones must be heavy and strong.
I usually listen to rock, punk, metal, a bit of house, regeaton, reggae.
So what are you recommend me ?

Here are some pics:

PD: like I said before that I live in Argentina , so I apologize about the orthographic faults

I had these Sony headphones, and they are very uncomfortable, they put very strong pressure on the head. I would go for Panasonic model.

The specs alone don't tell you much, usually the impedance figure is quite believable, sensitivity not so much. The frequency response range does not tell you at all whether the headphones sound any good.

since I own both of the below:
Sennheiser HD 215: 12 - 22000 Hz
Sennheiser HD 238: 16 - 23000 Hz

I tell you that HD 215 is weak on bass (not in a negative sense, the bass is very clean as a result) whereas HD 238 is grossly overbassed. The figures, if misinterpreted, would suggest otherwise.
HD 238 has relatively shit treble, at least compared to HD 215. Again, the numbers could hint otherwise.
Overall, while being approx. the same price, HD 215 blows HD 238 out of the water (sound-wise). HD 238 is basically an improved Koss Porta Pro whereas HD 215 is a serious product.

So I would perhaps scour amazon.com or similar sites which have consumer ratings, maybe you can gather some useful information about the headphones (most of the comments are unfortunately of the "this is the best headphone I've ever owned" type).

It's usually best if you can listen and compare for yourself, rather than relying on opinions...

As far as best sound quality in your price range, the consensus is probably Koss PortaPro.  In fact, it might be the only heaphone you'll find frequently-recommended for "sound quality" at less than $50 USD. (They are $32 USD on Amazon, and I don't know if you can get a similar price.)  But, they are small, light-weight, and a bit flimsy.

Although it's flimsy, here in the U.S., Koss headphones are covered by a lifetime warranty.  I don't know if the same warranty applies in Argentina, or if you'd have to ship them to the U.S.A. for warranty repair (which probably isn't worth it.)

Oh, the Superlux HD 668B has been recommended on this forum, and you might be able to find it for under $40 USD, if you can find it at all.

Search for Superlux HD681.

I think it's  far the best headphones that you can get here in Buenos Aires for 30 dollars.

P.S.

Superlux HD 668B.  Just for 45 USD you will get the equivalent quality to 200-300 USD professional headphones. I know  It's unbelievable.

HD 668B has a very Sennheiser-unlike sound (way more treble, way less mids, bass is a bit punchy but not bloated and quite enjoyable). Although their sound quality (clarity) is great, it might not appeal to everyone. It took me several days to get used to the sound and I still can't stand listening to it at higher volume due to the amount of treble (no problem with Sennheiser in this regard).
Just my 2 cents.

PS: I couldn't stand the stock sweaty PVC cushions on it so I hacked the AKG K240 velour ones on it (cost 50% of the headphone!).
I took some photos with my crappy phone camera:

The original cushions are the same material as the head bridge cushions (which I did not replace since I'm not bald  ...yet )

I recently readed a Article about the hd681
and they say the bass is good but the highs are too "agresive" :s

PS: but i will try to try them!!

By "punchy" I meant "a bit more bass than what I would consider well-balanced".
IIRC (I read somewhere), HD 681 has even more pronounced bass.
Not sure if this is trustworthy but it seems to support what I read... http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t69/pin...681vsHD8001.gif

Hola,
I think we should speak English in this forum.

(for igorC: supongo que por talcahuano y sarmiento los venderan, no?)

It depends of the stock at certain moment.
But probably you will pay more (street price).

Mercadolibre and official stores generally have (much) lower prices.  I know only one official headphone store here in the city: Sennheiser's.  http://www.sennheiser.com/sennheiser/home_...untry=argentina
