HP CDRW 9300 - Firmware Updating

I recently purchased a HP CDRW 9300 for 30 bucks at a computer shop here and I want to upgrade the firmware, however HP's firmware exe says it wants "Disc 1 of the installation software" installed for some reason hell if I know, it's probably just going to make a bootdisk right?

Anyways, any way to update my firmware without BUYING the damn cd? They don't offer it on their website so I am wondering if anyone has had luck with this without that CD. I maybe can grab the temp files while its running but how do I extract them without the setup util?

Thanks!
