Cowon D2+ id3 tag problem

I just got a Cowon D2+ today, and when I loaded it up with songs they all showed up as "unknown/unknown/unknown", so there was no way I could choose what song to play.  I eventually found out that it will only read id3 tag ver. 2.3 and not 2.4.  Is there any way to make the player read ver 2.4 tags?

Check if there is firmware update for your player that solves that... but if there is none, I'm affraid you are out of luck.

A solution to force the database to renew is:
1. Change language to chinese (warning: before doing that, note all the steps to go to the language settings  )
2. Reboot
3. Change the language to your language
4. Reboot

PS: It is realy a shame that the database is so badly managed on a high quality player like that. It is also a shame that playlists are not managed...
