E-MU 0404 USB Troubles.. Help?

I recently bought an E-MU 0404 USB. I have it hooked up to my computer through USB, I'm using it as a DAC.
My speakers are hooked up using this kind of connection: 0404 > 3.5mm output > 3.5mm to RCA > Stereo RCA > RCA to 3.5mm > Int. Amp

I am having troubles with a static crackle coming in intermittently. I am using Foobar2000 as my media player, and I have the ASIO component installed.
The buffer size in foobar2000 is 500ms, as it is in the ASIO driver interface. The ASIO drivers don't go above 500ms. I have found that if I use the 0404 without ASIO as an output, foobar2000 allows me to increase the buffer size much much more. I find that doing this affects how frequently the crackle happens. I have toyed around with the settings, and I found that 500ms is that best, though the crackle is still present.

The sync clock is set to internal in the 0404 driver. I tried uninstalling and re-installing the driver's, but yet still no luck.

I am using Windows 7 btw.

As you can see, I've pretty much exhausted my list of troubleshooting methods, and I'm really hoping that someone on the forums can help me out, cause I'm out of ideas.

Why are you using ASIO on Windows 7? You're supposed to be using WASAPI, if anything.

Check your DPC latency. Note that uTorrent and Microsoft Security Essentials have been known to cause increased latency (see here).

Ahh I see. Well I checked my DPC latency, and it told me that I some of my drivers are behaving badly etc. and I should try disabling some to find out the problem. That is something I will get to right away, but first, WASAPI.

I didn't know I needed to use it over ASIO.
I installed the component, but when I try and play, it gives me this error:
Unrecoverable playback error: Unsupported stream format: 44100 Hz / 16-bit / 4 channels

I am using a stereo setup, so how can I configure the channels so that there are two, not four?

Sorry, nevermind I figured that part out.

I had a DSP that converted stereo to 4 channels for when I am using my Logitech X-540's which I have hooked up to my onboard.

Is there a way I can configure it so that the WASAPI bypasses the DSP? I'll start listening for crackle and will give an update as to whether the problem is resolved

Alright I tried the DPC latency test. Bad news; it seems my wireless network card is the source of my problems. I have the D-Link DWA 552.
I found it interesting that whenever bars jumped to a high red in the DPC checker, the crackle happened. Would it help to raise or lower my buffer size in foobar?

Is there any way around this? Or do I have to buy a new network adapter. If that is the case, which ones would you recommend?

E-MU told me to use a USB Host that wasn't sharing, and that squashed the pops and clicks for me the second time.

I'll show you.

Here, take a look

It's on "23" instead of "16" which is sharing with many components.
