Best DVD player for audio?

What's the best home dvd player for audio purpose?
I would like to buy one of that box for play audio cd and mp3 files.
I dont want to connect it to a TV, so i need one that can manage mp3 files and folders with the help of the embedded display only.
Many players do that job across osd only :-(
The optical digital output is also appreciated, since i need to interface it with an external D-A converter.

Many thanks in advance!

NAD makes some very nice players. State of the art D/A converters etc.

I don't know any DVD-players that do well without an OSD.

I'm afraid you'll have to build one... A nice PC jukebox with optical out  B)
