Properties dialog: Fill empty values

I have set of tracks and some tag field is set on couple of them but not on all.

I run to this problem very often when tagging my library, so I guess some other users must too. Reasons could be any, like: track numbers doesn't match when using some of foobar taggers (freedb, Discogs, MB) with particular release, you have value in one tag and want to fill that value in other tracks from that release, you have releases with incomplete tags for whatever reason, etc

AFAIK, right now this is fastest approach with opened Properties dialog:
- double-click that tag
- right-click copy valid individual value
- change to Single value tab
- paste copied value
- press OK
* multiply above steps by tag fields of interest

I like to propose Properties dialog context menu action - fill empty values:
- if tag values in some field are set to one unique value and empty values - fill empty value with that unique value
- if there are more then one unique values - do nothing

+ further more, but not necessarily, if two fields are selected in properties dialog i.e. %album% tag and %date% tag: fill empty values for appropriate field based on unique value dependent on the other (not empty valued) field referred
i.e. I have selected Album_1 and Album_2 where couple of tracks from both albums have date tags - fill empty date values referring to album value

Hope it's not confusing

I'm having the same problem very often.

But what if the one unique value is wrong?
Much better would be to have an option in tools menu to fill empty fields with marked value in one click. IMHO

That's what foo_uie_tagger_mod does, and Properties autocomplete feature in it's own way

- if there are more then one unique values - do nothing

maybe open drop-down box and let user select one of values

In tagger mod one can define variables and fill it with one click... right, but not
a variable which isn't preconfigured by user...am I missing something?
But anyway, we we're talking about the properties dialog aren't we.
One click in tools menu for filling marked value (ie. artist:Akron/Family) to all selected tracks.
Just to make myself clear...

good idea.
