I voted Nero, but i actually only use AAC for movies, not music. For music i use FLAC and mp3 nowadays.

As above.  The fact that I use foobar (which has Nero profiles by default IIRC) to do most converting also helps the decision.

I voted Nero.  I use Foobar +Nero 1.5.1 to convert my FLAC's to AAC for my iPod instead of mp3 (since they're smaller for the same quality).

Nero, but I'm using 1.3.3.0 right now and have not yet switched to 1.5.1.0.

I use QuickTime AAC (True VBR/-q 86), though I've used and done testing with Nero AAC in the past...
Archive- FLAC (-v 8)
Portable- QuickTime AAC (True VBR/-q 77)

Altec UHP336s/Sennheiser eH 150s/AKG K171s & q113 tVBR AAC...

Apple QuickTime/iTunes AAC!

I use XLD in Mac OS X 10.6 SL to convert my ALAC's (extracted with EAC/Boot Camp or XLD secure rip) to AAC using QuickTime & CoreAudio True VBR encoding (Q113 ~255 kbps - QuickTime X).

iTunes does not support true VBR mode, right?
