Saving EAC Profiles

How come EAC doesn't restore saved profiles?  I've reformatted my PC several times over the course of a year and I always save the profile in EAC.  When I go to restore it, it doesn't do it.  Is there another way so I don't have to go and resetup EAC everytime?

Thanks.

I have never had a problem with saving profiles! Do you give them a unique name when you save them? Since I have several profiles and can't remember which I used last, I always reload the profile I want to use when I start the program. If this doesn't help, you will need to provide more information on exactly what you are doing.

I have that issue with EAC myself not fully restoring from a profile.

How to fully backup EAC's settings:[/li]
  • Obviously save your default EAC profile, that's a given.
  • Backup/Export the EAC registry settings located in:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\AWSoftware
into a .REG file for instance "EAC Settings.reg" and save it in the profile folder.
Note: Missing registry settings are why a full restore won't work, in my case anyways.

To get a full restoration (requires the backups mentioned above):[/li]
  • Start EAC, cancel out all the configuration requests.
  • Load the saved profile, then close EAC.
  • Import the saved .REG file "EAC Settings.reg"
  • Start EAC to a fully restored state.
