DivX Plus adds the capability for high quality surround sound audio  to the DivX ecosystem using Advanced Audio Coding (AAC) technology.  When combined in an MKV container with H.264 video at up to 1080p, AAC  audio completes a truly cinematic viewing experience. To support the  creation of AAC tracks for DivX Plus HD content we've created a  command-line AAC audio encoder. Read on for more information and to  access the download!

About the DivX AAC Audio Encoder

The DivX AAC audio encoder is a command-line application that will  encode uncompressed mono, stereo, or 5.1 surround audio compatible with  the DivX Plus HD profile. It accepts as input multichannel WAV files or  raw PCM streams and supports encoding Low Complexity (LC) streams  including High Efficiency v1 (HEv1) and High Efficiency (HEv2) modes.

This requires a free registration on DivX Labs for the downloading...

It comes probably from the MainConcept SDK (same thing for the video encoder) because DivX acquires this compagny in 2007.

I am not suprised, I just run quick test with HE-AAC @ 48kbps, and look like SBR implementation not that good. Between CT and Nero there almost no difference, but between DivX AAC and CT/Nero difference are huge.

Hi Starcy,

"DivX Plus HD AAC Encoder Beta 1"

This is very annoying HD AAC refers to AAC LC plus an SLS enhancement layer to lossless.

I decided to register and download this.  Has anyone come up with a working command line for foobar2000?  For the life of me, I cannot get it to work.  I have tried all of the command lines on their website with no luck.  I even converted my ALAC source files to PCM wav.

Jeez, how the hell did anyone managed to register and download this thing. I've typed those god awful captors codes correctly and the website won't have it    .

@kornchild2002

Have you tried?:

Code: [Select]
-i - -o %d -V 9

or

Code: [Select]
-V 9 -i %s -o %d

EDIT: Typos

/mnt, you have to register and then elect to participate in Project Rémoulade.  I tried both of those command lines and they didn't work.  The -v 9 -i %s -o %d line returned this error in foobar2000:
Code: [Select]
1 out of 1 tracks converted with major problems.

Source: "E:\Music\iTunes\Lacuna Coil\Karmacode\04 Within Me.wav"
An error occurred while finalizing the encoding process (Object not found) : "C:\Documents and Settings\ThisIsNot\Desktop\Lacuna Coil\04 Within Me.m4a"
  Conversion failed: Object not found

The -i - -o %d -V 9 line gives me this error:
Code: [Select]
1 out of 1 tracks converted with major problems.

Source: "E:\Music\iTunes\Lacuna Coil\Karmacode\04 Within Me.wav"
An error occurred while writing to file (The encoder has terminated prematurely with code 1; please re-check parameters) : "C:\Documents and Settings\ThisIsNot\Desktop\Lacuna Coil\04 Within Me.m4a"
Additional information:
Encoder stream format: 44100Hz / 2ch / 16bps
Command line: "C:\Program Files\DivX\DivX AAC Codec CLI\bin\DivXAACEnc.exe" -i - -o "04 Within Me.m4a" -V 9
Working folder: C:\Documents and Settings\ThisIsNot\Desktop\Lacuna Coil\

Conversion failed: The encoder has terminated prematurely with code 1; please re-check parameters

I even took out the extra dash in the middle (-i -o %d -V 9) and still got the same error.

I've have been trying to register but the CAPTCHA questions seem to be broken, which i always typed them correctly but the website begs to differ.

The core comes from MainConcept who are now also part of DivX. The command-line version was jointly developed
