pop & crackles on 24/96 WavPack w/ ASIO

hi there,

I've put two 26 seconds samples of the same 24/96 song here, one in FLAC/one in WavPack : http://rapidshare.com/files/230246747/08.rar.html

no problem occurs w/ DS, but w/ 32bit ASIO the WavPack file gives random clicks and pops(different each time I play it)...the FLAC is fine, and I've tried to raise the ASIO latency up the roof w/ identical results.

I've disabled all my DSP plugins, and I get random crackles & pops on most of my 24/96 .WV in ASIO(yes their CRC is fine, I just cut the files w/ WinRAR so they're incomplete but the CRC-checked full files exhibit the same exact problem)

apparently the foobar built-in WavPack decoder is at fault, it plays fine in MPC w/ the DirectShow WavPack decoder.

I guess I'll have to convert to FLAC if I wanna play them in ASIO w/ foobar

if anyone's got a clue

just realized that if I use several VST plugins in EffectChainer in the VST wrapper DSP, the clicks & pops become completely unbearable....no problem whatsoever w/ the same file decoded to WAV or FLAC
