Whats best for ogg? VBR, ABR, CBR???!

Well the topic says it all. The new winamp 2.78c has a built in ogg vorbis encoder and it has a vbr setting. Would that better than using the quality settings everyone here has been hawking? :needhelp: :spank: lol I couldn't resist.

It looks like the quality setting mode is the same as VBR, with 0.50 VBR being equivilent to -q 5

either i'm stupid or wa2update propaganda does the job.
btw, any sort of vbr/abr is always better than cbr; Vorbis' vbr is the best.

In simple terms, the quality settings use VBR. You determine what level of quality you want and the codec determines what bitrates it needs to use according to the content of the material you are encoding.

ABR determines a nominal bitrate to use, and CBR (in oggvorbis) really just sets an upper bitrate limit.
