Need a good receiver to connect for a HTPC

I need a receiver that will:
- Accept a DVI2HDMI input without issue (will use a Toslink for 7.1 audio) from my HTPC.
- Take the HDMI input from my cable tv (will later move to FIOS) and allow a video out via components and a Toslink to a tv tuner for my HTPC and capture surround audio.

So basics will look something like this:
Source 1) Cable Box > HDMI/Toslink > Receiver > HDMI > TV
Source 2) Cable Box > HDMI/Toslink > Receiver > Component/Toslink > HTPC
Source 3) HTPC > DVI2HDMI/Toslink > Receiver > HDMI > TV
Source 4) Wii > Component Video/Audio > Receiver > HDMI > TV

So I think I need a minimum of:
3 HDMI inputs
1 HDMI output
1 Component inputs
1 Component output
2 Toslink inputs
1 Toslink output

Just to clarrify my concerns... I understand that some receivers cannot take HDMI input and convert it to component out with a Toslink while maintaining surround sound.  I also know that some receivers are known to not accept a DVI2HDMI input from a PC... not sure why?

I looked at the SR506 but understand that it only passes through HDMI so this won't serve my purpose as my HTPC won't be able to gain surround audio via the Toslink right?

I then looked at the SR606 but understand that it doesn't support computer inputs (DVI 2 HDMI)... I've heard some say it works though but I'd rather not chance it.

So now I'm up to a SR706 or SR806 and I wish I could come back down to the sub 300 price tag I started out with  So here enlies my concern.  Can I get a different model that will handle what I'm looking for and stay under 400 dollars?  I don't want to saccrifice too many audio and video processing features that I may wish I had later once I figure them all out but my immediate concern is not having any functional hiccups so I'm willing to pay more if needed.

I hope someone can hear my concern here and make a few recommendations that is known to work.  I don't have to have an onkyo.  They just seem to be the most popular for product reviews which is the only way I can get some of my questions answered so far.  I'm open to Denons, HKs, Panasonic, Marrantz, Sonys, etc.

I reworded my issue, maybe my concerns are a little more narrow now... then again, maybe not.

Thanks for any assistance or suggestions!

A TX-SR576 is basically a 506 with HDMI decoding and is under $300.
