keyboard shortcuts with intellitype

i've tried the method of closing the process itype.exe, and assigning the keys (which i was able to do successfully). however, when i turn itype.exe back on, foobar stops registering the media keys. why is this! i am using the microsoft digital media pro keyboard. it seems the latest intellitype actually disables the key when i tell it to disable. so then i tried setting it to a macro that just waited 10 milliseconds, but it still didn't work. i think the intellitype drivers just completely overide everything else. i don't want to have to close itype.exe in order to have global keyboard shortcuts. i actually find the favorite buttons useful, as well as the my documents, my pictures, etc etc. is there an intellitype driver substitute? or is there another way to get around this problem?

Well I just dealt with this last week.

I don't have a ton of keyboard shortcuts that I use globally, So, rather than turning intellitype off, I just decided to registrar the few shortcuts I do use using I found it easiest to just use intellitype and foobar's commandline arguments.

For example my 'media key' is given this command:
Code: [Select]
"Z:\Music\foobar2000\foobar2000.exe" /command:"Activate or hide"

And now it functions as an activate and hide key.

thank you so much! i just used the command "foobar2000.exe" /playpause. and prev, next, stop. they work fine now. awesome :]
