Nero 9.0.9.4c Question

Why do I now have to first rip audio files was WAVs and then encode them to a different format? Save Tracks in the previous version offered various possibilities, but now there is a new option called Encode Tracks or something like that.

Why was this changed and will it be re-instated? I know there are Nero developers around here so I ask.
