Recommendations for sub $100US in-ear headphones

While on my way home last night my Sennheiser CX300s decided to die on me, more so the wire where it connects to the plug than anything else.  I've been meaning to get a better pair of headphones anyway, so no big deal...  I've had these for almost a year and they've taken a beating as I am a little rough with them at times.

Does anyone have any recommendations for sub $100US in-ear headphones?  I've been searching around the forum and found a few that I will post below and hopefully someone has used them to give me a better idea of what they think.  I'm looking for good quality in-ear phones that block outside sound without an actual noise cancellation, I mainly use them while on the train/bus.

Here's what I'm currently looking at:

Shure E2C - $62
Denon AH-C452 (not yet released) - $70
Ultimate Ears Metro.fi 2 - $80 ($63 on eBay)
Etymotic Research ER6i - $81

I'm leaning towards the Shure and the Ultimate Ears a little more because of the ear pieces.  Any feedback would be appreciated.  Thanks

Sony MDR-EX71SL. Fit great and sound great. Buy some new tunes with your leftover cash.

I know they're not on your list, but have a look at the V-Moda Vibes or the Jays Q-Jays. They're both fairly cheap and www.anythingbutipod.com holds both of them in quite high regard however I've had no experience with them myself.

If you need stereo earphones with speaker to use with your iPhone (or any mobile phone with music playback capabilities) I would recommend the ultimate ear metro.fi

I ended up getting the Ultimate Ears Super.fi 4.  I'll post a review once I get them.  Thanks for the recommendations, all.

I am also looking for some new in-ear headphones and my choice comes also down to this:

I had a pair of Sennheiser CX300 which were about 30€ and I wouldn't recommend them at all. The features important to me are:

-Light design and a good absorption from cable noises
-Easy to clean from ear wax (which was basically impossible with the Sennheisers)
-It should be possible to sleep on them with one ear without pain (!)
-Good sound with a natural bass

max 70€-100€

For me the choice came down to the Ultimate Ears Super.fi 3 Studio

The specs say that they go up till 13khz. How does this compare to other headphones?

Any other recommendations?

-Chris

My advice would be to spend some time browsing the head-fi forums, there's lots and lots of reviews and recommendations over there

I was looking for some high quality earbuds (not in-ear, I can't stand those) recently and I found the Yuin PK3 through head-fi. They are the most amazing earbuds that I've ever heard, absolutely stunning, and comfortable too.
