Need help ripping multiple tracks as one solid track

I would like to know how to rip multiple tracks, or an entire CD, as one track on CDex or EAC. This is a simple procedure using Audiograbber, but the mp3 quality isn't as good as EAC or CDex. On Audiograbber you just right click the last song that you want included, click track properties, copy ending sector and paste it to the ending sector in the first song, then untick all tracks but the one you just pasted the ending sector to. I haven't found a way to do this with CDex. Any help would be appreciated.

In CDex 1.51, just hit select Convert -> Extract a section of the CD  (F10)


In the file properties, enter the filename of the destination WAV or Compressed Audio File (Encoded).


For start position, choose the first track.  The Min, Sec, Frame will default to 0, 0, 0

For stop position, choose the last track.  The Min, Sec, Frame will default to the end of the track.


The total recording time will be the entire length of the CD.



Thus, you'll rip (and encode) the selection (entire CD in this case) as one track.

For EAC, choose Action -> Copy Range.  Select Uncompressed to extract to WAV, Compressed to encode to whatever you have set up (usually MP3).

Choose the Start and End Positions in Blocks.  In Start Position, use "Snap Track" to move the slider to the beginning of the nearest track from where it currently is positioned.  In Stop Position, use "Snap Track" to move the slider to the end of the nearest track from where it currently is positioned.

By default the Start and End positions are such that the entire CD is selected to encode to a single file.

However, to do an entire CD as just a single file in EAC, it's better to choose Action -> Copy Image and Create Cue Sheet

eac > action > copy image & create cue sheet (compressed or uncompressed)

or alternatively, choose the test & copy image & cue sheet
