[Request] Mouse buttons as hotkey

Hello,

I'd like to define mouse buttons as (global) hotkeys. Is it possible to do this?

Thanks,
Andrew

If you have third-party mouse software installed (e.g. Logitech SetPoint) you might be able to bind your mouse button to a key combination, and then bind that key combination to the action you want in foobar2000. There are some hotkey programs out there that might do a similar thing. That's one possible workaround, anyway.

Thanks for the answer.

I do this already. But some combinations are used by other programs, too. I'd like to set the mouse buttons directly as hotkey.

Isn't it possible, or is my request be ignored?

It's not possible using existing infrastructure. Windows has built-in support for keyboard shortcuts, but it doesn't work for mouse buttons, so this would need to be done using a system-level hook or some other hack, maybe even depending on mouse manufacturer/model.

Use a key you can't push directly then. I doubt any program uses F13, for example.
Full-quoting makes you scroll past the same junk over and over.
