foobar unable to write RG tags on large wma files

Using ver. 0.9.5.1

I often download a weekly 2-hr radio show that's in wma format, and at 128kbps the files tend to be very large - around 110MB.  When I try to calculate ReplayGain for these files I get the following message:

Code: [Select]
Could not update tags (Sharing violation) on:
"C:\Documents and Settings\My Documents\My Music\myverylargewma.wma"

I only have this issue on these large wma files, foobar has no problem writing RG tags for track-sized wma files.

Interestingly, Winamp is able to calculate and write RG tags on these large wma files, which show up fine when opened w/ foobar.

Lastly, I don't seem to recall having this problem with previous 0.9.x versions of foobar, though I can't recall at what version the sharing violation problem began.

This issue still exists as of ver. 0.9.5.3...

Unlocker helps eliminating sharing violations. If unlocker can't find one then it probably really is a problem with foobar.

I often run into trouble with some wma files as well. Not just RG, but often also while editing tags. I talked to Peter about this, and he did something, but it didn't really fix the problem.

I did not spend much time on it - There's some tools to fixup wma files (some asf tool - forgot the name), but the documentation lacks somewhat.
Can't wait for a HD-AAC encoder :P

Any of you guys using foo_playcount_mod.dll?

It seems it causes it when configured as default, 50% of music player do update tags.
