Problem with Winamp 5.52 and AAC

Winamp 5.52 will play MPEG-2 ADTS AAC (*.aac) with loud pops using Out_Wave. I tested using different versions of Peter Pawlowski's output plugin and AACs created in both Psytel and demuxed from MP4. Problem does not occur using DirectSound, or Otachan's ASIO. After seeking once in the file, it will continue to play normally.

Audio hardware: E-MU 0404. At the moment I do not have another computer running WinNT5 to test this Winamp.

Can anyone confirm this?

Problem appears only with "Allow 24-bit", or audio_bits=24 on.
