MPC dec/enc in dll form?

I like what i see... err hear in MPC.  From some other threads on this BBS, I took some member's advice and did blind listening tests and sure enough,  I was startled that I could hear the difference on my average set of grados with blind tests.  What surprised me the most was that in several cases I heard MP3/OGG files first (at random), I did not need a comparison to identify it--I could hear the flange, smear, or odd transient response that in more obvious instances seemed almost charateristic.  I don't believe I have the keenest of hearing so I suppose that  is what surprised me the most--that differences were perceptible.  At any rate, I am very impressed with MPC and I am interested in greater support for it.

Are there any plans for a DLL form so it is compatible with software like virtual dub and windows media player?

It seems like this format would be ideal for DivX encodings particularly.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Musepack

I am not a DivX encoding geek...  but what you'd need, is a Musepack ACM codec - which hasn't been made yet, AFAIK.

Now, would it really be worth the trouble ?  I mean, the AVI format is crippled, unclean and cause many problems depending on "how VBR" the muxed audio streams are.

For this reason, maybe we could do without that, and mux the SV7 stream and video into a decent container (such as Matroska or EBML)  ?

BTW, does anyone know if Zoomplayer supports other video container formats (other = not AVI) ?

Edit: EBML instead of EMBL

I think this is offtopic for this thread, but...

I use ZoomPlayer to watch OGMs, with the help of the Ogg Direct Show Filters
