mp3+cue error

since 0.42 (I think) playback of 1big mp3 file with cuesheet doesn't work properly. Not sure if it ever did, I discovered cuesheet abilities in 0.42...

If I let fb2k advance tracks automagically, when it changes to next track, it sounds like it jumps back and plays last 5-10 secs of the prior tune. Not very seamless
However, if I use rew/ff this doesn't occur.

I reported this in the irc channel, but I never got a response. Posting it here to see if anyone else has noticed it.

Is it a VBR MP3 file? I'm not sure if that matters.

I'm having problems with a big-ass VBR file I ripped myself using EAC/Lame 3.90.2/--alt-preset standard. According the the cue sheet, track two begins at 01:02:11. But foobar 0.43 changes to track two at about 01:01:00 on the display, and then immediately starts playing audio from about 1:09:00. So that's an eight-second chunk missing. The cue sheet and the mp3 are ok, because I did a test burn with Nero and it played back fine.

FB2k (more likely, the original mpglib) doesn't have the best MP3 seeking at this time, but it will probably be corrected some time soon. Stay tuned.

If the next song to be played is right after the current one in the mp3, there shouldn't be any searching at all, just continue playing that mp3.

Would that be hard to code?
