tired of using my e3c daily, i don't want to hear my footsteps any

so i've been using my e3c throughout my day's recently, but because I'm at college I have to move around a lot which means putting taking out ipod and putting it away very often. when I walk, I have to slide the e3c's out of my ear slightly so they won't make a seal and I won't hear my footsteps.

do all in ear canal phones have this problem?
are there any earbuds that have less strong of a seal so that I can walk and jog without having to adjust the earbuds? i'm looking for something pretty cheap (>$30)

do the creative ep-630 and sennheiser cx300's have the same problem as in ear canal phones?

i'll keep the e3c's at home.

Hi hhsuey, the Creative ep-630 plugs are the same for me as with your ec3's. Other people here will tell you just the opposite. For sitting around with little movement the ep-630's are good. But they will make a lot of noise when you walk.

Same problem with my Etymotics. I guess you cannot hide the vibration generated by the impact of your own feet.

thanks. i guess there's no way around that drawback for canalphones. i'm going to just get a pair of ksc75's then. i'll keep the e3c's in my backpack for when i'm in the library or whatever.

I got a pair of CX300 as well as ue super.fi 5 pro and once owned a ep-630.
I found the footstep problem more severe with the ep-630 but guess this is due to the fact that I got a better seal with them (though I'm not lacking bass with my current phones - cx300 bass is rather a tiny bit too strong for my taste).

Anyway I wouldn't use canal phones when walking also because of being totally isolated, but that's a matter of taste of course. Koss KSC-75 are a very good choice IMO.

My Etymotic ER6i's make a whistling sound when I walk just from the slight breeze from the motion.  They also do it sitting still in a slight breeze.    They're basically only good for sitting inside.
