does not recognize ID3 'UFID' tag

Exactly as the title says!

Even if present in an MP3 file, the contents of the ID3v2 'UFID' tag do not appear in the file's metadata properties.

So I copied an mp3 for testing. I loaded that mp3 up in foobar. I right clicked on the song in my playlist and chose "Properties" from the menu. In the "Name" column of the "Metadata" tab I right clicked an empty line and chose "Add new field" from the menu. In the new "Add Value" box I entered "UFID" for the name and "test" for the value. I then clicked [OK] to close the "Add Value" window. I confirmed the key had been added to the "Properties" list and then clicked [OK] to close that window and return to foobar. I then closed foobar. I then re-opened the file in foobar, returned to the properties page, and the UFID tag was still there.

Can you be more specific about your problem?

This creates a TXXX frame with the description "UFID" but not an acutal UFID frame.

foobar does indeed not support UFID frames, but a possible support is questionable anyway because an UFID frame is designed to have binary content.

Reading and writing of binary tags is not supported in foobar2000, this includes the UFID frame in ID3v2.
