An efficient batch MP3 Cutter

I am working on a music download site for client with little or no PC knowledge.

I need to generate 30 second previews from his MP3 tracks, but want him to be able to run the software at his end to save him having to send me his files for processing.

Does anyone know of a piece of software that can automatically cut out a 30 second preview from a large number of files?

I just want the first 30 seconds of each track without having to specify this for each one!

If a free solution exists, that would be great, but I am willing to pay for the right software.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I haven't tried this myself, but having used pcutmp3 & mp3splt, these both work via the command-line and using the correct settings may well be able to be put into a .bat (batch script) to pull in a file at a time and cut at the desired time. Like maybe some in sort of FOR LOOP.
For Files in this dir cut 30secs <-- ya see what I mean.

mp3DirectCut is another great splitter, but that I don't have much experience with. Worth trying that too though.

They are the best free splitters around. Probably the best splitters full stop actually.

Let us know if you do manage it with these as it'd be interested too.

EDIT: what about the lastest foobar with it's split utility? I haven't tried that either (still on 0.8.3 ) but it might work
