Shoutcast, http and v0.9.2 beta 4

I have a Gnump3d server an a Debian box. I was very pleased to use fb2k v0.8.3 to listen to my music... but I tried to upgrade to v0.9.1 (and then to v0.9.2 b4, as I hoped the problem could have fixed...).

With this new version, streaming doesn't work any more with MP3 and WMA files... Actually, it seems that only OGG files can be streamed by v0.9.1 or v0.9.2b4  ...

However, I got different error messages for MP3 and WMA... :
Code: [Select]
Unable to open item for playback (Reported file length changed):

Unable to open item for playback (This operation is not supported on remote objects):

Note that locale MP3 and WMA files are perfectly read by this version.

Finally I downgrade to v0.8.3... which wasn't easy to find on the web... I wasn't able to find old versions of foobar on the foobar's website...

Oh, and while I think about it... the version of http_reader previously allowed to choose many parameters for the streaming buffer... these usefull options doesn't seem to be available anymore... that's a pity...

Mmh... and a last thing... as you can see, filenames with http streaming are not url-decoded... this can be hacked using the titleformat capabilities... however... this may be implemented in foobar...

Thank youuuu !

Hi,

you are not the only one with this problem. I still use 0.9 Beta 10 which works perfectly with streaming http but has most of the features of the final version. All newer version seems to have the streaming problems. I use jinzora and have the same problems with new version.

If you want I can provide you a link where u can download this version.

Even seeking in streamed files works with this version perfectly!

I'm having a lot of problems with shoutcast servers without port numbers, like http://d1.deviantaudio.com/ .  These addresses worked in 0.8.3, but I just get DNS resolve errors with them in 0.9.2 beta 4.  I even get DNS resolve errors when I resolve the address manually, and enter the IP into foobar.  When I specified a port, http://d1.deviantaudio.com:80/ , it then says it couldn't resolve "www.deviantaudio.com".
