Jethro Tull - Locomotive Breath

Here is a nice sample that could be used for the upcoming listening test.

I hope it's OK even if the sample is a bit larger (43 seconds). If not, I can cut the first and the last few seconds.

Sebastian,

are you sure this fragment of "Locomotive Breath" comes from "Living in the Past"? My version (Chrysalis CDP 32 1575 2) is totally different and doesn't seems to be a live performance like your. Anyway it isn't even the original one from "Aqualung" nor the one from "Aqualung Live (2005)"... very interesting!

I am 100% sure, yes. I recently ripped this CD and got it from the library. Unfortunately, I cannot find any UPC or ISRC codes in the CUE.

foobar2000 does that. You just load the cuesheet (not the .wav file) into foobar2000, select all tracks, right-click, Replaygain->Scan selection as album. What I do, then, is to wavpack the whole .wav and finally embed the cuesheet into the single .wv file either using syntheticsoul's modified tag.exe or foobar2000 itself. Et-voilà, a replaygained, cuesheet-embedded wavpack.

Ah, this brings back memories! I have a very early CD of the original Aqualung that was one of the first CDs in my collection and probably the [popular] one with the lowest overall level (replaygain_album_gain = +4.98 dB). For the terminally curious here's the same section from that CD.

Same exact song, 30 years apart. Do you think he might get tired of playing it...?
