Questions regarding YP-U1 firmware (512 mb version)

when i installed the out-of-date firmware that came with my YP-U1 (512 mb), there was an equalizer setting called "WOW" which increased sound quality, and was something tat samsung bragged about on the box. but i went online and updated my firmware to the latest edition, and i lost the WOW equalizer capablity. i know that YP-U1 is pretty old, but im hoping someone can explain this to me. should i stick with the old firmware, or use the new one without "WOW"? and why did samsung remove the WOW option?

thanx for any feedback.

SRS WOW is a digital signal processor effect, which creates the impression of a wider soundstage / enhanced bass.  Samsung might have lost the license to it.  Pick the firmware you want.

Latest firmware for YP-MT6 (from this April) still has SRS WOW in EQ menu.
Maybe some memory or processor limit is a reason for dropping this effect from YP-U1 firmware?
