Find A Program That Does..

I am trying find a program that list all of my MP3s to my friends and they can click on it and listen to it via streaming. The list does not nesscerly have to be on web, a program like p2p that list all my files to them only and allow them to listen before they download.

The problems with p2p is that everybody can view my files and download them. I only want selected people ( either with password or know the address to get it )  can view it. And p2p only allows them to download but not listen.

Any things is that if it could downsample the Mp3 to lower bitrate in real time so it require lower bandwidth would be nice BUT NOT nesscerly....


I know i am asking a lot but i am wondering if anyprogram exist??

Media Jukebox has a feature called Media Server that would probably do what you want.

i would do something like this:

- set up a lil web server like this one: http://www.aprelium.com/ (protect diretories with ssi)
- make a html list with mp3s and the low bitrate ogg files (like Garf's 3.5 kbit/s babies) for preview.
