EAC-Copy image & create cue sheet problem

Hi All

Has anyone experienced this:

I am ripping DJ-mixed CDs to single mp3s, using the function "Copy image & create cue sheet" in EAC. For some reason, EAC doesn't prompt for the filename box and therefore does not begin ripping at all. The program just 'refreshes' and stays put.

I know about RockBox and use it, but some CDs I'd like to have as true gapless mp3s.

Appreciate anyone's help.

Thankyou

First check to make sure you don't have a default directory set.  EAC Options -> Directories tab.
WARNING:  Changing of advanced parameters might degrade sound quality.  Modify them only if you are expirienced in audio compression!

This is an EAC bug that occures if either your "Artist" or "Album" field has any of the following charachers in it: /\|":<>

Edit: Fixed in EAC v0.95b4

Martin H - you're a star. Thanks for that. I'm using EAC v0.95 b3. Now - just what you want...more questions - upgrading to EAC v0.95b4 - is this easily done? Simply overwrite/delete previous EAC files or install over the top? Are all existing configs and settings for CD drives kept?

Thanks

You are very welcome

About updating to a newer version, then i always do a fresh install by deleting the EAC folder + registry key and then when i run the new version, i just quit the setup wizzard and loads my saved profile. I have just checked the EAC FAQ to see if it says anything about updating on-top of old versions, and i found this :

Q: I want to install a newer version of EAC, do I have to uninstall the previous install first?

A: Unless otherwise indicated on a new release, for updates just extract the new exe file in your EAC dir. (I.e. overwrite the old exe) and you will retain the old settings. If you want to delete the old options nevertheless, just delete the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\AWSoftware\EAC.

CU, Martin.

Hi Ozandy,

what is the difference of your question in this thread , and the one in this [a href="http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=41781&view=findpost&p=366854]thread[/url] that has been already answered?
I don't see a difference? Maybe my English is to bad to see one?
