Klipsch 4.1 Rear Speaker Buzz

I've noticed that the rear speakers of my Klipsch Promedia 4.1 system give off an unpleasant buzzing background noise.  This is at moderate volumes, ie. main volume 25%, surround 50%.  It doesn't matter what (if any) input is connected.  The buzzing is noticible within about 2 feet of the speaker.  With the front speakers, I can't hear any kind of noise at normal volumes (I'm talking about I can crank the volume to 100% and I only get very soft white noise, as opposed to the abrasive buzz.  The buzzing is coming from the main system, because I can switch the speakers around and it is always the rear speakers that buzz.

Can anyone comment on whether this might be:
-faulty hardware
-design limitation present in all promedia 4.1 systems
-interference from something in the room

I would appreciate any thoughts.

I have the promedia 4.1 and do not have this problem, so it's not a design limitation.  I have the main, surround, and software mixer settings all at 50%.  I can't hear any hiss unless I put me ear right up the speakers, even if I turn all of these volumes all the way up.

Hmmm that's what I figured....

Actually I'm leaning towards electrical interference, because I don't recall having this problem before I moved into my current place....  Stupid EMR... Stupid Maxwell...

Update, just in case anyone happens to stumble on to this post.  I've moved since then, and there is no buzzing of any sort coming from speakers.
