SHN to FLAC?

What is the best way to convert shorten (.shn) files to FLAC files?  I am asking because I have a number of live shows in .shn format that I would like to play on my Slim Devices Squeezebox3.  The SlimServer software does not appear to read .shn.  Alternatively, does anyone know of a plugin for the Slimserver that accomodates .shn?

I would use the free:  dbpoweramp

If, like many concerts I have gotten, the descriptions are in a text file instead of tags, there is a plugin for foobar called "traders friend" or something like that to read the file and tag your flac files.

Agree partially with DonP. Use the free Foobar2000 to do it all. Foobar2000 is hosted here so look around if you are unfamiliar with it.

Oh really? I've been looking for this for a while. I have a few shows here and am getting tired of maually typing in names of tracks. Does the text file have to be written in a specific format?

It is somewhat flexible for format,  but not bombproof.  You can preview what it thinks it sees.

I end up doing some editing since I end up renameing files to match titles, etc, and want to get various punctuation marks out.
