Hi i've been playing around w/this codec and it seems to be set on ABR 133. 95% of my files are @ 133Kbps is this suppose to be this way?

also ... i was reading to the tune that this preset, [Streaming - Medium] is the only one that works correctly?

edit: I did an encode w/Itunes 6.0.1.3 [qt 7.0.3] and the avg came out to be 139. Maybe the albums i am encoding are stressing out teh parameters for Stream-Medium & 128VBR respectively.

Well, it's a prerelease for the ~128kbps listening test so that may well be why it seems locked to the said preset.

i guess nobody will answer my question but that's oaky.

I got another delema. After succesffulling encoding a few samples w/the new version. I rebooted and now each time i try to encode something i get this.
ERROR (foo_naac) : Nero encoder plugin initialization failed
ERROR (foo_diskwriter) : Conversion failed.

or even when i load up nero and to the nero conversion, it stalls and doesnt load up.

I have to reinstall my backed up .dll in order for it t convert anything into aac.

any ideas?

Looks like the know issue with external encoder frontends.

oh okay. eh guess it liked my system then it didnt.

I cant get 3.1.0.2 to work at all anymore, i gotta reinstall nero 6.6.0.18 now ahaha :-x

maybe i should get nero 7 ?

is the aac in nero7 that much better than the one in nero 6 ?

is there a fix or nething planned for this bug ?

even when i reinstall the nero7 dll ... the front end doenst work anymore.

the encoder within nero doesnt allow the specification for m4a files ... so i have to manuall rename the files afterwards. the frontend worked beautifully. ..
