How to Format Olympus M:robe R100

how do i format a olympus m:robe R100??????

about 4 weeks ago the first time that it had come up saying insufficient space when i was transfering from m:trip, now i know for a fact that there is enough space because in windows media player i only just have 5G worth of music and the m:robe holds 5G and not all songs that are in windows media player are selected in the m:trip library only about 4G worth is selected in the library and now each time i transfer it seems to be saying theres even more less space and songs that where already on the m:robe arn't transfering back :S

so im thinking i just need to format it but it doesnt say how in the book and i've looked in help and everything ! and need it done fairly soon!!

please help!!!

thanks,
Patrick Hay.

Are you serious? How many of this 41 do u think do own an m:robe (which isn't BTW the most diffused DAP) let's be optimistic and say... 2. Of those two how many do you think faced your problem? Let's be realistic: zero.

You must understand that in this community we don't like to just give air to our throats. Usually if we answer it is because we know something about. If we don't answer it is just because we don't know, but we don't like to affirm things like "can't be done" if we are not positively sure about that.

Anyway, I've done for u something I hope you already did, that is RTFM ([a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RTFM]definition here[/url]). Reading the manual it doesn't seems there is an option to re-format the HD. The only things they say about that is "Do not format this product from your PC" (pag. 15) and that the "RESET ALL SETTINGS" function (pag. 46) does not delete data from the HD ("The audio data stored in your m:robe cannot be deleted by using this function. To delete the audio data, you need to use your PC. For details, see the online Help of the Music/Photo Organization Software “m:trip”).

That's all.  If I were you I'll send it to repair.

Looks like you have to send it back.

i've had it for nearly 6 months and havnt had a problem, now i think its screwed but because i can't remove it from my PC therefore i cant use it at all , when i turn it on it still wants me to retry synchronize and even now when i pulled it out of the cradle it thinks its still transfering :S
