foobar2000 under Linux?

Is it possible to use foobar2000 under Linux? I'm planning to ditch Windows soon, and foobar2000 seems to be the best audio player around (under Windows, at least).

So, is there a possibility that a Linux foobar2000 will be released soon?
If not, can you reccommend me an audio player that will be at least as good as foobar2000?

Many thanks.
Only the best is good enough.

You might want to search the HydAud archives ...

foobar2000 can be run under Wine

I have found that functionality is good, but playback stutters occasionally.

There are loads of audio players in Linux: XMMS, Beep, Rhythmbox, Amarok, Quod Libet, Juk ...  Google search is your friend.

Nope, and it can't be emulated in WIne either (very well). perhaps it can in cedega, but screw paying for that.
I used AmaroK which has built in last.fm support. I also found the ALSA sound architecture was fantastic.  i would reccomend both

hi,

i'm running it here with no problems (no stuttering etc), with columns ui, album art and album list panels... just use wine from cvs and prodive a native comctl32.dll and you should be fine.
