Don't think you can mount a flac+cue can you?

Assuming it's not possible to mount a flac and cue...

I've got some CDs that I ripped to flac and cue.

I'd like them to turn into LAME MP3s.

I've been using Foobar2000 with great success to deal with individual FLAC files. But I'm pretty sure it can't handle CDs.

Don't think you can mount a flac+cue can you?

I really can't understand why you haven't just tried!

Go on, give it a go.  You may be pleasantly surprised.

Ok. I know it can't handle CDs

It can handle a CD sized flac file... but I don't think it can handle the cue as well, can it?

Sure can! Just load up the cue file, select all tracks, right click and convert.

Didn't quite handle it, because the cue was pointing to a wav file. One little edit... and just like magic!

Can't believe how good foobar is!

From now on everything will be in flac. I've no excuses as far as disk space is concerned, and it's a very quick operation (once I worked it out!) to stick em to LAME mp3s.

I have heard, however, that the cue file can be embedded into the FLAC file...

Anyone know how to do this?

And if I do it, will foobar still be just as happy?

VORBIS_COMMENT metadata block :

Copy and paste the contents of your cuesheet into a cuesheet tag in your image...

You can also use Neil Popham's adapted version of Tag with the following command line :

Tag -f "cuesheet=Path:\CDImage.cue" Path:\CDImage.flac

Tag 2.0.44 :

CUESHEET metadata block :

Use metaflac with the following command line :

metaflac --import-cuesheet-from=Path:\CDImage.cue Path:\CDImage.flac
