Ogg Vorbis component for QuickTime 7.0

The Ogg Vorbis component for QuickTime on MacOS X obtained from:

http://qtcomponents.sourceforge.net/

fails to work properly on MacOS X 10.4 (Tiger) causing QuickTime and
iTunes to crash when trying to play Ogg Vorbis audio files. Does anyone
know of a solution to this problem? Is there some other software which
allows QuickTime and iTunes to play Ogg Vorbis files on MacOS X?

AFAIK there is no way currently of enabling QT7 to play Ogg Vorbis.  I use Cog.

The solution will probably be someone writing the Ogg Vorbis plugin for Tiger's Audio Codec API.

I downloaded the new iTunes 5 (which includes Quicktime 7.0.2) for Windows and it broke my Ogg plugin from Sourceforge. Does anyone know of a third party commercial plugin for iTunes?

It makes me sad to see all my Vorbis files in iTunes but not be able to play them.
