In their defense, I believe they were contractually prevented from broadcasting the PF set in its entirety. Therefore, the break in was a legal obligation, not done because they were too stupid to realize the value of what was happening onstage.

The US TV networks made shitty, shitty deals.  Easy to argue they shouldn't even have bothered.

They knew what was happening on stage because they announced the break before as they went into the guitar solo and showed part (maybe most?) if it before MTV went to commercial.. it was kinda weird, they announced the break but kept showing the concert without going directly to commerical after the announcement... So I think they tried to show as much as they could without pissing off the sponsers

Guys, there's a *cough*torrent*cough* source for a 810 MB high quality capture of their part of the concert. Straight capture from DVB TV with MPEG2, PAL resolution and 256 kbps MP2 audio.

The file's told  to be an ISO file to burn on DVD. However note, that the DVD structure may not be 100% by the specs as some players can and some can't play it.

I'd like to know where to get a hold of the feeds XM Radio did

(( Off topic: does anyone know anything about the Tokyo show? No one has covered it as far as I know... ))

I saw parts of that.. they had Björk with hideous make-up and some type of boy-band i didn't like. I was sad to see Björk in that big hall with such a wrong atmosphere for her music, because i know that she absolutely excels in a small hall (for instance, [a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00005Y71R/103-7006457-7923034]this concert[/url] is amazing).

I think the boy band was probably McFly.  I seem to remember hearing they were in Japan.  Too poo to get a look in at London.

I saw Björk do one track on a BBC3 "Best Of" show.  I still prefer the Sugarcubes.

I don't understand torrents.  I have Azureus installed, simply to get the first foobar 0.9 beta, but apart from that I'm lost.
I'm on a horse.

Hello, People.

I would like to invite you to check out... my chilean sunset picture again. It's, IMO, the best picture I took in Chile.

I already looked at the... picture, and quality is very good.

Also, please don't spread the link to the... picture around. That would kill my bandwidth. The... picture is in high resolution, you know?

Only go there if you want to look at the picture and comment on its beauty. Please

I've seen a low res version earlier, that wasn't bad, but this version was great! (Could be compared to a norwegian midnight sun ) Thanks

There exists an MPEG format file of the show, live from BBC 3, in full DVB PAL with high quality audio and so forth, which is about 710 MB. Suitable for direct burn to DVD or SVCD or what have you. I would suggest looking around for that. No VJs talking over the performance, no commercials, just straight high quality digital video. No re-encoding done, even.

There also exists a very nice FLAC version of the broadcast on BBC Radio 2, which I thought sounded very good. Quite good for burning a CD from.

If you can spy around for some torrents, you might find these.

And yes, it was one of the better performances of Comfortably Numb that I have heard. WYWH was not the best, however. The music was good, but Roger Waters vocals kinda threw that one off for me.

This might be the one I mentioned above. It's actually not 710 MB (or 810 MB like I told earlier) but 821MB.

I could post the link to the torrent if it's not against policy here. (?)

Hear ye hear ye: I plan to delete the video in about 12 hours (used more than 6Gb of my quota with it already), so if you plan to download it from me, do it now.

The one I have is 711 MB, or 745,943,040 bytes, if you prefer. Maybe with all the ISO stuff it's larger, I only have the MPG file, raw and uncut.

Is the file a direct MPEG-2 capture, and if so, what's the resolution? The one I ended up downloading (DV box capture encoded to xvid/mp2) looked pretty good, but I'd like to put the concert on an 8cm DVD-Video to send to my little brother. After transcoding to MPEG-2, that 576x320 file doesn't look so good anymore :-)

I got a 709MB torrent and it's a direct capture, both video and audio, 720x576.

I think tgoose has the same one I have. I'll have to check the resolution when I get home, but I know it is a direct MPEG2 capture from a DVB satellite feed.

Would one of you fine gentlemen be able to, ahem, PM me and let me know how to go about acquiring one of the aforementioned files?

I got this one and I really like it. I really think Waters' voice sounded a teeny-weeny bit raspy, but hey!! I'm glad they are back again. Hopefully, we'll be able to see a dedicated Floyd show soon!

Go to any torrent site and search for "pink floyd". Look for the 710 meg one. Not really too difficult here. In fact, it's on several torrent aggregator sites. Heck, Google would probably find it at this point.

And yeah, I confirmed it's the 720x576 one. BSPlayer tells me that it's "720x576, Aspect: 16:9 (1024x576)".
