Problem with reading Shoutcast streams

Hi there all!
Am facing a problem when listening to Shoutcast Streams (ie, smoothjazz.com).

I can't seem to stream the file at all when opening the .m3u file. Console info is as below:

Code: [Select]
INFO (foo_pod) : iPodService version 13
INFO (CORE) : startup time: 719 ms
INFO (CORE) : opening file for playback :
INFO (CORE) : location: "http://64.236.34.67:80/stream/1005" (0)

It just gets stuck there. There's literally no network activity when this file is opened.
There are no ID tags for the file, and I can actually play this stream flawlessly in iTunes.

Anyone knows what could be the reason? Am using the modified foo_http.dll (the one that's able to capture streams).

My settings are:
128KB cache
70% prebuffer
50% prebuffer on underrun
no proxy
Enable Dynamic Track Titles

Thanks a lot!

I am not overly familiar with the internals of the HTTP reader - I'm just another lowly user. :-) However, it occurs to me that the URL you are using:
Quote
http://64.236.34.67:80/stream/1005

has no file extension. Could this be causing fb2k some problems? Is this supposed to be the m3u file or the stream itself? Maybe fb2k's HTTP reader doesn't pay attention to the MIME type and instead depends on extension? <shrug> This is all entirely conjecture.

Missing extensions shouldn't be a problem with streamed audio. In fact, the above stream plays just fine here using the original HTTP reader; I haven't tried the modified one.

Everything is working ok here

Code: [Select]
INFO (CORE) : opening file for playback :
INFO (CORE) : location: "http://64.236.34.67:80/stream/1005" (0)
INFO (foo_read_http) : Saving stream to: G:\Temp\! streams\stream(0008).mp3
INFO (foo_out_dsound_ex) : Created stream: 44100Hz 24bps 2ch
