Voice Changing

Is it possible to change your voice, either over the phone or in person, to sound like a specific person and not just some anonymous voice?  (example: In the movie 'Mission Impossible 2' Antonio Banderas wears a mask and uses an adhesive microchip-type device to change his voice to sound like Tom Cruise.  On movies it is very easy to just dub over or use the actual actor, but if there is something in real life that can change a person's voice to sound specifically like a certain other person... that's what I'm looking for).

Any leads on where to find this, or more information about it, is greatly appreciated.

I'm not aware of any gadget / software that does it.

btw: The character of 'Sean' was played by Dougray Scott -- not Antonio Banderas.

Are you getting in the Kidnapping or Blackmailing business?

Really, such a thing would be cool.
I'm the one in the picture, sitting on a giant cabbage in Mexico, circa 1978.

Really, all you'd have to do is get both individuals to speak every possible phoneme, properly identify and predict each, and then do some really smooth realtime replacement... Not too hard.

you can get one of those voice changers that just raises or lowers your voice so you can sound like a little girl or a 300 pound man named bubba.

Vocoder is a thing that lets you do something like that - you give it a couple of samples, one of them it treats as a sound carrier, and the other one as a modulator, so you can get an effect of speaking saxophone, guitar, etc. I guess it would be possible to use vocoder for what you want (even in real time), but the effect would be synthetical, far from the way real human voice sounds.
