16 bit Windows Subsystem

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application..

this is what i do

create a notepad and save as config.nt
Code: [Select]
dos=high, umb
device=%SYSTEMROOT%\system32\himem.sys
files=40


create another notepad and save as autoexec.nt
Code: [Select]
@echo off
    lh %SYSTEMROOT%\system32\mscdexnt.exe
    lh %SYSTEMROOT%\system32\redir
    lh %SYSTEMROOT%\system32\dosx
    SET BLASTER=A220 I5 D1 P330 T3


cool it works but everytime i restart computer, the autoexec.nt file is lost , i have to create it again or else i cannot run 16-bit program

I suppose you could create a batch file to re-create it for you from a backup, I don't know if you can somehow make it automatically run when WinXP starts or not, example:
1. Save an exact backup copy such as: autoexec.1
2. Create a batch file that will copy the backup to the actual file needed:
copy autoexec.1 autoexec.nt

i change the autoexec.nt to read-only, it seem to work, it's not deleted since then

now, I have another problem, One day i will go insane keep on solving winxp os problem

Now, windows explorer cannot read multisession disc, only the first session can be seen, all the others 2nd, 3rd.... are missing, when i try to scan the disc with nero, nero can detect all the sessions, I know there's no hardware problem, it's XP, I hate windows!!!!!

Some CD authoring software will automatically, or ask you to confirm 'import previous session' when adding another new one -- however some will not and must have an option selected to do so. About the only other thing I can think of is if the disc isn't finalized/closed that could be the problem.

Yet another reason not to make multi-session discs.

the problem is i am the only one that cannot open multisession disc, all my friends can!!!,  I don't care about the CD problem anymore coz now i have a bigger problem

Antivirus keep on popping up & warn me that i have backdoors and trojan, antivirus deleted that file, but whenever i go online, it pops up again tellling me the same trojan again and again......

besides, whenever i connect to the internet, svchost.exe will use up all the CPU..........other apps become very slow.

svchost will still use 100% cpu even i disconnect, restarting is the only cure I figure out...

EDIT; i tried to terminate it in task managetr, something "RPC" pop up and ask me to save all the settings.....

HELP....

Restart in "safe mode" and run your antivirus.
Once you have removed you virus, stop using your computer in administrator mode.

Perhaps it would be easier to admit defeat and reformat. Then stop visiting seedy web sites*, and start paying more attention instead of rapidly clicking next/accept/agree when presented with wizard type dialogs.

* If the advertising is annoying, stop using the site.

i am using firefox, i thought firefox is safe?
but it seem current version 1.0 can also accept pop up box...

Why yes, even Firefox is vulnerable to a different form of crap. Sites can feed you extension installers, which can result in installed software bugs. Of course, you still have to agree to dialogs which pop up.
