.lha & .mod in foobar2000?

New to the foobar2000 and here in the forums.

Im wondering if it is possible to have foobar2000 to play .lha and .mod files?

Cheers

There are two components for playing MOD files, take your pick. As for LHA archive support, if you could point out some open source, 100% C or C++ code for unpacking the format, it might be added. Although, you might save some space if you convert those archives to ZIP, RAR, or 7-Zip, which are all supported by foo_unpack.

Where can I find foo_unpack? Have search everywhere but I can't find it.

It's the, "Archive reader," component available with the standard and special installers (and maybe the light one as well).

Eh. There's already a foo_unpack_lha, look here.

So now its only XPK packing libs that need  to be supported(some time ago mod files on Amige were packed with some XPK packing methods(SQSH etc.) and now theres lots of them (mod files)packed with no way to unpack becouse no serious tool for unpacking is available, maybe there is some good way to add support to foo_unpack

Personally i have over 500 packed mod files(i think not only i`m having that kind of packed collection of Amiga music)  and no chances to play it with foobar or even unpack them:)

btw XPK runs on various packing methods but SQSH (there were 2 more methods designed to pack mods and sound files, that i dont remember well) more funny is that NONE method is also available-and well used-why? i dont have idea

Ok im ending becouse that post runs too long now-i know i should run that topic in Developers or Feature Request, but its only a "loose" suggestion to talk about
and some programmers are talking so there is a way to talk seriously about that  (some first hand talk)
