Multichannel AAC Encoder Confusion

Hi All

I am new over here and am very much confused reading articles related to
Multichannel AAC encoding please suggest me a solution in simple terms for
the following

I am extremely sorry for asking questions already discussed but i have very less
time to understand it reading all

Questions
1.> Software for converting AC3 (5.1 Channel) To AAC (5.1) Channel
and a player for playing the Multichannel AAC File.

2.> Plugin for playing the Multichannel AAC in Winamp,BSPlayer,
Windows Media Player 9 or any other player recommendation.

3.> Is it Possible to multiplex (3ivx,Xvid,Divx5) Video with Multichannel AAC
      Softwares for that.

I have used bsweet - AACMachine for creating Multichannel AAC from AC3 audio
but it is not playable with FAAD Plugin (in_aac.dll) for winamp.

I hope that i will suerly get answers to my questions here

Please help me out.

OAGMachine works for me ; and any player with the appropriate plugin/filter (or Foobar for audio only)

2.> Plugin for playing the Multichannel AAC in Winamp,BSPlayer,

The CoreAAC filter works OK as far as I know (but for MP4-embedded AAC you'll eventually need some MP4 parser filter, e.g. 3ivx...). Look at rarewares.org...

Yes it is possible. For instance 3ivx + aac in a MP4 container (you'll need some MP4 parser filter + AAC decoder filter, see above) - multiplex with mp4ui (buggy?) or directly from Nero apps. I usually rip to XviD + AAC 5.1 using a MKV container, thanks to AviMuxGUI (available at doom9) - as for decoding, the Matroska Pack already includes the CoreAAC filter.

Use the Winamp FAAD2-based plugin (look at rarewares), then configure Winamp so that it can output multichannel audio (DirectSound, Hardware and so on...)

Oag machine requires some "azidts.exe" where do i get it

It is only for ogg output or mp4 output is aac inside the mp4 file

renaming the output file as "output.aac" will do or i will have to keep it as .mp4

-------

CoreAAC filter  contains some 4 files but no dll do i have to run the batch file
thats it and done is it so

what is exactly a parser

You have to download besweet + oagmachine + use the nero aac libraries (and therefore install Nero then copy some dll files...).

Quote
It is only for ogg output or mp4 output is aac inside the mp4 file

It can output both ogg & mp4 (or aac if, during the configuration of nero encoder, you choose to extract aac from the mp4 output)

Quote
renaming the output file as "output.aac" will do or i will have to keep it as .mp4

If you plan to use MP4 as the container for your video & aac audio, you can check 'Mux into existing video' in the Nero encoder configuration (assuming your .mp4 video file already exists).
Renaming from .mp4 to .aac doesn't (shouldn't ?) work. The aac audio data is only a *part* of the total mp4 file. Renaming a video to .wav won't result in an audio file.

Quote
CoreAAC filter  contains some 4 files but no dll do i have to run the batch file
thats it and done is it so

Copy to the System directory (preferably) then run the batch.

Quote
what is exactly a parser

(vague explanation) The program that reads through your container and returns the appropriate data, then feeds other filters with this data.

Quote

Only if you need your video+audio inside a MP4 container. Afaik mp4ui has a few difficulties, sometimes, but is easier than command-line utilities...
Quote
please can u elaborate on nero method

Let's say you have your video (whatever codec you used) in an mp4 container, natively or thanks to mp4ui... Put this .mp4 file in the directory where resides your audio file, then convert it with OAGMachine - telling the Nero encoder to mix the resulting AAC audio with the existing MP4 video (a checkbox in the configuration dialog). The resulting .mp4 now has the audio properly multiplexed (I always ended with unplayable mp4 files when using mp4ui to add audio to video)

Quote
either u can reply or give me some links that will explain my queries

Several quick tutorials on how to create mp4/aac videos exist on doom9.org... or else read the AAC threads on this forum, or  the helpfile of the Nero AAC encoder (which is very efficient and easy to use).

Hope this helps.
I'm no specialist (only a few attempts at creating MP4 videos), so let's hear what others AAC/MP4 experts have to say about your case

it gives me errors but a .mp4 file is produced which is i think so corrupt
and not playable in Foobar Player

But while using AAC Machine its done perfectly but it uses Psytel AAC Encoder there and the file is played in Foobar player

And the file from aac machine is also not imported into AviMuxGUI

Which Software do u use for converting AC3(5.1) to Multichannel AAC (5.1)
and is the result perfect are u able to import it to AVIMUXGUI

Short, simple, clear : everything is here : how to convert AC3 to AAC using Nero aac libraries :
http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/oagmachine.htm

You even have links to the latest versions of OAGMachine, Besweet etc. ! obviously your current Besweet or OAGMachine is out of date

But depending on what you plan to do with your resulting aac files [mux it with video, into .mp4 for dvd players ? into .mkv for pc play ?], you should read other guides (for instance, how to convert your DivX/Avi to DivX/Mp4 ; or how to mix DivX/Avi and AAC audio into one Mkv file with AviMuxGui)

OK, so you want both containers... two times the exact same movie with different containers  A quick method :

For MP4 output
1/ Once you have your Xvid or DivX in .avi container... no matter how...
2/ Transform your 'DivX in .avi' to 'DivX in .mp4' using mp4ui (link is above in doom9's guide) for instance
3/ Put the resulting .mp4 in the same folder as your .ac3 file
3/ Download OAGMachine 0.11 + BeSweet 1.5b29 + Nero 6, install them (how to do? where to find them? read the guide I mentioned)
4/ Run OAGMachine, convert your .ac3 (in the configuration box, check the options 'Mux into existing .mp4 video' and 'extract .aac')
5/ After many minutes of conversion, you obtain a .mp4 file with both video and audio : BINGO !
6/ You also obtain some .aac file which is your 6ch audio, playable with any player, or for use in an mkv file : BINGO !

Then for MKV Output
7/ Run AviMuxGUI 1.17 (find it at www.doom9.org)
8/ In the top box, right-click, add your 'DivX in .avi', then your previously encoded .aac file, then eventually the subtitles file.
9/ In the top box, select the .avi video you added, click on the button 'generate  data source'.
10/ In the bottom box, verify that your audio file is correctly loaded (you can right click and check 'SBR' if your aac file is HE-AAC)
11/ Click the Settings button, choose 'MKV' in the dropdown list 'Standard output'
12/ Close the Settings dialog, and choose Start.
In a few minutes you have your DivX & AAC5.1 in a .mkv file : BINGO !!

(sorry, I can't send you the files, for technical more than legal reasons... I can't send 25MB e-mail... download directly from the sites please )

To play DivX in a mp4 container, you need some mp4 decoder filters (3ivx codec includes them, for instance).

For the channels conversion, I think it is logical...

For AviMux : sorry it's 1.16.7... it's weird it can't even open a .avi file... maybe reinstall properly, including the Matroska Pack of appropriate codecs ?

Well, might be you used some wrong options in the Nero configuration... or your file is invalid due to errors during encoding (overclocked CPU?...)
