Compare audio files in OS X?

Does anyone know of an application for Mac OS X that can compare the data in audio files? I would like to compare various AIFF files taken from the same source for possible differences. I've heard that Cool Edit Pro for Windows has this feature, but I don't see any equivalent functions in Bias Peak 4.1 (unless I've missed it). Web searches and Version Tracker haven't turned up anything useful.

If no native OS X applications exist, is there a *nix version available through Sourceforge?

Thanks!

shntool has a compare utility...

http://shnutils.freeshell.org/shntool/

shntool requires shorten, sox and flac and compiles without problems under X. You can also use xACT which has all this included and installs the necessary binaries/libraries with a mouse-click... You find xACT at vt or macupdate. Betas are available at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/xACT-users/
