Echo Indigo and Mac OS X 10.3

Just bought an Echo Indigo card for my PowerBook G4 1Ghz and overall I'm very pleased with sound in iTunes, but when I'm playing any DVD in OS X's DVD Player (4.0) sound is horrible, skips like crazy with nasty scratching noise. I've just installed Panther on this laptop from scratch just to make sure that this is not my configuration issue and found the same problem, so obviously this is ether generic issue with Echo's driver under Panther or my card is simply broken.

Does anybody use this card with similar laptop and Panther? Do you have such problem too?
Please share your experience!

Thank you!

Keep finding funny things - mplayer for example plays sound from divx only in left channel and Echo Console shows no input in right channel. With built-in audio no problems of course.

For me it looks like ether my card is real dude, or Echo Indigo simply doesn't work on Panther. I'll check it with Jaguar, but this is still amazing how many good opinions about this card I had found on this site. Something doesn't look right.

Put mpg123 to the list - this time it's stereo, but sound reminds me some crazy DJ's remix.
