For Kerio Personal Firewall 2.1.5 Users

New ruleset is THERE.
Features:
  • It blocks Verisign
  • It blocks crl.microsoft.com (my games are connecting to this! strange! it happened after windowsupdate  ).
  • It has some antispoof techniques
  • It blocks Mico$oft-related ports (with this, even w/o antivirus and patches, Blaster-like viruses will not succesfully attack your computer).
  • It blocks IGMP protocol (IGMP nukers cause win 95/98 to crash).
  • It blocks some useless ICMP protocols.
I made this rule after reading THIS

This ruleset is quite advanced so some ppl may encounter some problems...

EDIT: THERE you have KPF log analyzer

I think including the PeerGuardian Blocklist to your list is a good idea.

The Blocklist Converter Tool might be useful.

And upgrade to Kerio PF 4

Is Kerio 4.x usable?

I experienced one problem - on LAN it downgrades performace from 11.X megabyte/sec to ~3/4 mbps

Is >/= 4.0.8 corrected?

I use it daily and like it quite a lot. Maybe I have your problem too  But 3MBps is quite high enough for me.

Works fine with 4.0.8.
Personally most of the rules are not necessary, so I close useless ports with using router.

I last tried 4.0.4 and all it seemed to be able to do was crash.  Anyone having previous problems with 4.0.X now using 4.0.8 with no problems?

2.1.5 seems good enough currently.

I did add some of thoes rules, thanks.
